  I would give 5 stars to the ot pt dept. I was there for rehab. In my 50s. It is a scary horrible place if you dont get the right ca or the right nurse. Twice i was given my roommates meds and vice versa. Fortunate for me i recognized it and we swapped. My first night i was given a room with a young mentally challenged woman.she scream all night. I could have dealt with that. But when my light was finally answered i asked for a bedside chair the ca who i will call Curly Locks came with a bed pan and started making fun of me about it. She told me they did not have bedside chairs and continued to make fun of me for wanting "the little potty chair". The nurse showed up and they started talking in Creol. I took French three years in school. I may not be able to speak it but understood what they were saying. When i said something Curly Locks took off. The nurse told me she was just talking fast and that they did not have any bedside chairs. I went the next am and told them i either wanted to go to home or another facility. They asked me to give them another chance they would move me in a different wing with a real nice lady and they did. Shortlived when she went home they came to me and ask of i could them a favor. They wanted to move me so they could give my room to a man. Gladly.(had known that their were other rooms with men by themselves i would not) they said the lady was quite. Moved me. Shoved my dresser sideways i could barely get my hand in. Tv loud as it cold go.my family found me next day bawling had peed night or day. My daughter came to rescue me. But again i stay my husband moved my bed and dresser. They lost my clothes 3 or 4 days ago.night nurse tried her best to get me to take my sleep meds.i had been sent speech Therapist but he gave me memory tests. I gues to doubt someones thoughts less i coplained.the ca and nurse last night also spoke in creol but about another patient. I started keeping track of times to answer light and depending on who was on duty one and half hours in some instance. Once when i couldn't get off toilet i finally got off and hurt my hip. I have been worried about that, my saftey, my meds. Some wonderful people and wonderful therapy team. I fear for those who cannot speak up and that do nothave family support. Home now and even though my food in frig got stolen and my clothes at least i survived. I didn't stay my 20 days but they were probably glad to be rid of me.
